Another bad game from the Indiana Pacers and another member of the iPacers crew joining Alex Golden on the Setting the Pace podcast.
After a fantastic first quarter that was about the most fun the Pacers have been all year as they lit up the Grizzlies for 45 points, Indiana then looked like they have for much of this season, like a shell of itself from last season. The Grizzlies outscored the Pacers 108-76 in the final three quarters.
The good news Andrew Nembhard returned and was awesome: a season-high 14 points in 15 first-half minutes. The bad news he was on a minutes restriction and only played in the first half.
Despite a bad game, we had a lot of fun discussing the current state of the team and what went wrong in the final three quarters of this one. Watch the podcast below.
We covered the following topics:
- The Pacers win streak a fluke?
- Tyrese Haliburton’s road struggles continue, Grizzlies intent on not letting him go off but is he letting them off the hook too easily?
- Myles Turner starts off hot and then disappears
- Ja Morant looking at Quenton Jackson like your uncle looks at that Thanksgiving feast on the table.
- The fit between Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin still hasn’t been great
- Jarace Walker with another solid performance
- Do the Pacers still need to make a move for a center?
- And we do a draft where we build a pizza with the 5 toppings that we choose.
