Oscar Tshiebwe dominates in G-League debut

The Indiana Mad Ants won their season opener against the Sioux Falls Skyforce by a final score of 129-114 behind a monster performance from Oscar Tshiebwe, who finished with 33 points and 23 rebounds.

Tshiebwe, who is on a 2-way contract with the Pacers, dominated in the paint especially on the offensive glass as 13 of his 23 rebounds were on the offensive end. Much like his time at Kentucky, opposing defenders couldn’t stop him from gobbling up rebounds like I gobble up rolls at Thanksgiving dinner.

He dunked with his left, his right, and both hands. He finished inside with a running hook and hit a few mid-range jumpers. In total, he hit 12 of 21 shot attempts and 5 of 6 from the foul line.

The other players on 2-way contracts also started for the Mad Ants in this one. Kendall Brown had 12 points (5 of 14), 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. He missed all six of his 3-point attempts.

Isaiah Wong had 14 points (5 of 9), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 turnovers. Wong was the only Mad Ants player with a negative +/- in this game at -15.
