All-Star weekend will feature Glenn Robinson III and Myles Turner

The Pacers will have some representation at this year’s All-Star weekend events.

Glenn Robinson III has been selected to participate in this year’s dunk contest according to The Vertical, and Myles Turner will play for the U.S. squad in the Rising Stars game (formerly known as the rookie-sophomore game).

Last year’s dunk contest was one of the best of all-time, so GR3 will have to rise to the occasion to help match the incredible performances that Zach Lavine and Aaron Gordon had last year. No word yet on if those two will be among the participants this year.

Myles Turner said that playing in the Rising Stars game was one of his goals this year after being disappointed in not making it last season. Turner dealt with a thumb injury early in his rookie season which caused him to be overlooked for the contest last year. Now, Turner is being recognized as one of the best young players in the game while being part of a loaded draft class.

Paul George will likely join the two down in New Orleans as an All-Star reserve, but the All-Star teams have not been announced yet.
