Joe Young has decided to go to China next season and will play for the Nanjing Tongxi Basketball Club.
Young said that he was only offered 2-way contracts by NBA teams and decided to take the more lucrative offer with the international option.
Players are only eligible for 2-way deals if they have four years or service or less in the NBA. Young played for the Pacers for three seasons.
The most Young could have earned with a 2-way is $275,000. Young will make $1.3 million in one season in China.
Young is the second Pacers free agent to take their basketball abilities to China as Al Jefferson also agreed to a deal earlier this offseason.
